The Dole Whip Recipe

How many of you out there LOVE The Dole Whip? I know I have to get one every trip to the park. But getting it a few times a year isn't always enough. Have you ever had a craving for one but live hundreds of miles from the nearest Adventureland? Here is a way to subdue that craving. Make it yourself. 


2 cans (20 oz. each) DOLE crushed pineapple

2 tbsp. lemon juice

2 tbsp. lime juice

1/3 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped

2 1 qt freezer zipper bags

How to make it

1 - Drain pineapple: save 2 tbsp. of the juice and set it aside.

2 - Place the pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved pineapple juice in blender. Cover and blend until smooth.

3 - Pour into two 1-quart freezer zipped bags. Store bags flat in freezer. Freeze 1 1/2 hours or until slushy.

4 - Stir pineapple slush gently into whipped cream until slightly blended in large bowl.

5 - Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour and serve. Nom nom nom

I've never tried a dole whip but I've heard many good things about it. I'd love to try it so I'll definitely be using this recipe.
