When Disneyland was first built, Disney tried to keep as many of the original trees as they possibly could. Over the course of over a half century all of the original orange trees have died off. The only remaining original trees are the eucalyptus trees behind the City Hall. These were first planted by the farmers to protect the orange grove trees from strong winds.
(City Hall before California Adventure with only the eucalyptus trees bahind it before the others grew in)
